Meet the Newest Members of Our Farm: Two Gorgeous Grey Guys

Exciting news from the farm!

We’ve recently welcomed two stunning grey half brothers to our herd, and they’re already stealing the show with their charming personalities and incredible fiber.

These boys are as sweet as they are striking. Their soft grey coats are a treasure in the world of angora goats, and we’re thrilled to have them.

A Perfect Addition to Our Herd

This shade of grey is one of my favorites, so adding these two to our herd feels like hitting the fiber jackpot. Their fleece is luxuriously soft with a natural sheen that makes it perfect for spinning or your other fiber projects. The subtle variations in their grey tones provide an earthy, natural aesthetic that works beautifully in everything from yarn to finished projects.

Their temperament is just as lovely as their fiber. They are both gentle and laid-back, and are settling in so well. They’ve currently in quarantine in a separate field but are getting to know the rest of the herd through the fence and seem to enjoy lounging in the pasture, soaking up the Georgia sunshine.

The Beauty of Grey Fiber

Grey fiber is a dream for crafters and fiber enthusiasts. Its natural tones can be used as-is for a neutral palette or over-dyed to create deep, rich colors with incredible depth. The versatility of grey fiber makes it a favorite for blending with other colors or textures, resulting in unique, one-of-a-kind creations. Imagine the possibilities: a soft grey scarf with hints of lavender or a marbled sweater blending grey with shades of forest green. The creative potential is endless!

Looking Ahead

As we prepare for their first shearing, we can’t wait to see their washed and combed fiber. We’ll be sharing updates, photos, and new product launches featuring their fleece, so stay tuned. If you’re a fiber artist or simply a fan of natural, sustainable materials, you’re going to love their fleece. In the meantime, we’re enjoying getting to know these two wonderful guys and get them ready to join the herd in a couple of months.
